Rev Calvince Owinoh Ochieng, born again.
He did his early Primary and Secondary education in his home county of Kisumu then proceeded to Moi University, Eldoret where he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Education. After graduation, he worked briefly as a classroom teacher then took a career detour into banking where he would end up for fourteen years. During this period among other things he studied Certified Credit Professional course, a professional certification by KASNEB.
His ministry work and dedication dates back to High School. Having received Christ as a young Form two boy, his passion for the Lord was evident and ended up serving in various roles in the Christian Union. This continued while at the University where he served as a missions Coordinator for two consecutive academic years. He joined pastoral ministry in 2013 and settled in fulltime ministry in the year 2020. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology and a Masters of Divinity in Biblical Studies from Teleo University. He has recently enrolled in a second Master’s degree focusing on Comparative Religion.
Calvince is a passionate disciple maker who believes that the great Commission as Jesus issued it was meant to be finished and not just to be worked on. Jesus Christ Himself said it would be finished when he said ‘and this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached to all Nations then the end shall come.’ He buttressed the same saying ‘Go ye and mke disciples in ALL Therefore, Rev Calvince is passionate that it is not just about winning converts but making disciples who can make other disciples to finish the Great Commission as Jesus intended. Rev Calvince is married to Cecilia, father to two teenage boys Caleb and Carnelian and a girl, Ceannah Angelou. He is passionate about the family and family values. He loves spending time around his family. He loves poetry and has written quite a number, travelling and sightseeing and an insatiable desire for books. Once in a while he pops in the kitchen to prepare a delicious meal for the family. He can do any menu!
